Privacy policy

Dealogy is a UK affiliate site that curates women's beauty and skincare deals. We link out to retailers and earn commission; we do not sell anything or process payments ourselves. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights over it.

What we collect

• Directly from you: your email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter. We do not offer accounts, and we never ask for your name, address, phone, or payment details.
• Automatically: when you use the site we collect limited technical data — IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and which deals you click through — plus a first-party client_id cookie used to attribute outbound clicks.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To send the newsletter you asked for — lawful basis: your consent.
• To understand usage and improve the site, keep it secure, and correctly attribute affiliate clicks — lawful basis: our legitimate interests. Separately, UK PECR governs the client_id cookie itself: it is set only after you opt in to Analytics, and deleted the moment you withdraw.

Cookies & analytics

We use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics and, if you opt in, exactly one cookie — the client_id above. Nothing is set before you choose. Manage your choices on the cookie preferences page. Full detail is in our cookie policy.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf — hosting, database, analytics, error-monitoring and email-delivery providers — under data-processing agreements. Our outbound affiliate links route through affiliate networks, which receive click data when you click through. We never sell your personal information or share it for anyone else's marketing.

International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK/EU (for example, in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter email — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Usage/analytics data — retained no longer than necessary, then deleted or aggregated.
• Outbound-click records — kept as a commission/financial record; IP not kept beyond attribution.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by emailing privacy@dealogy.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
